For my condition, I have to drink ideally 2 L of water and get 2x the electrolytes as a normal person. This is difficult due to other symptoms like nausea and my body not being able to absorb the things that it needs from water, which is why I’m told to drink so much. Even with IV treatments once a week I was still dehydrated and it was expensive. Other methods are good too, but not right for me personally. I skeptical at first because it seemed too easy. But I started using the patch during a flare up and the next morning I woke up early, hydrated, with more energy, and less foggy headed. I stay hydrated the whole day and I just focus on drinking water. I think this is perfect for athletes or people with chronic illness who requires the extra electrolytes. My cardiologist was even impressed. It is pricey, but a months worth is about the same as a single IV infusion, so if you need it it does pay off. May not be perfect for everyone but it’s worth a try.

I heard about HydraPatch just before my last Ragnar (Bourbon Chase 2024) I struggle with staying hydrated enough during these long relays & figured I would give this a try. I’ve been struggling in the heat and humidity training for a marathon this summer often feeling like I had nothing in the tank and like I was going to blackout! Have now worn HydraPatch on last two long runs and have felt great up to the 15-18 mile mark!! And after the run not as sore!
